Taqueria nachos have a tendency to be messy take out containers that need to be finished with a fork and lots of napkins. At Villa Pancho Taqueria in Bed Stuy, the nachos remained true to taqueria standers but were surprisingly sturdy and the forks remained reserved for Lee’s hamburger burrito (complete with fries wrapped inside).
Aviator Sports and Events Center is a fun place to go ice skating on the weekends. Take the bus out there and you almost forget you’re in Brooklyn. Last time out, they were out of chips but I was in luck this time around, if you could call ordering “NACHO’S” luck.
When you think happy hour you normally think 2-for-1 drafts or a couple bucks knocked off your well drinks. On select nights Epstein’s Bar happy hour extends to their appetizer menu. On a Friday night how could one turn down cheap fried food and $3 Ommegang Witte beers?
We’re stretching the concept of nachos for you aren’t we? Angry that we’ve been reviewing Irish Nachos and now Totchos? Or are you blown away at how other foods are just jealous of the awesomeness of ‘cho to the point that they try and pretend they are brothers from another mother? Yea, that’s what I thought. At Nachos NY, we continue our attempt to find good nachos at chain restaurants. I had a strong desire to hit some gophers with a foam hammer so Dave and Buster’s in Times Square it shall be. See, I am so dedicated to my craft that I not only dined at a chain restaurant/arcade but I went to Times Square.
Ballpark nachos are iffy at best. And really, how many times can you really review cheese sauce and round, over-salted tortilla chips? But this past week I took in a game at Target Field in Minneapolis and learned a few things about ballpark ‘chos.
At the suggestion of a super secret awesome celebrity nacho lover, we dined at El Parador Cafe in Murray Hill. The place was swanky and a romantic date night spot. But there is only room in my heart for one love, nachos.
