Nachos in a Roll at Taqueria El Cumbre

Last week, I saw an article in SFist about the Nacho Burrito at La Cumbre. As airline tickets didn’t seem reasonable, we reached out to a Korrena, who previously reviewed nachos in SF.

Nachos at Target Field (Minneapolis)

Ballpark nachos are iffy at best. And really, how many times can you really review cheese sauce and round, over-salted tortilla chips? But this past week I took in a game at Target Field in Minneapolis and learned a few things about ballpark ‘chos.

Papas Locas de Zapotlanejo

Back in September, Analucia Gutierrez wowed the faces off of the attendees of Salsa Slam with Zapo Salsa. It just so happened that I gchatted her while she was home in Zapotlanejo, the inspiration for her salsa. After her win, she got to eat Papas Locas, the nachos of her town, and is now thinking about selling her salsa, professionally. Before she starts selling like hotcakes, we got her to talk about Papas Locas and Zapotlanejo.

CC Club – Minneapolis

As the Yankees prepare to sweep the Minnesota Twins this weekend, I was reminded of my trip to the Twin Cities two weeks back. The CC Club is a historic bar in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While the Surly, Summit, and Bell’s was a-flowin’ I started getting the munchies and settled for a half portion of bar nachos at Twin Cities punk-rock institution.

Prudential Center 'Chos

While the players went at it on the ice, I hit the concession stands. I missed the Sabres only goal that evening for these nachos. But where they worth it?

Nachos in San Antonio

Today, I received a letter from a friend, Eliot, way out in San Antonio. Before he heads to India for a 3-month-bike-trek, he’s taking in nachos far and wide.

Nachos in Connecticut

This just in, they have nachos in Connecticut! From our friend Cindy Rowland comes a review on some sadly so-so at best nachos.
