Wildwood BBQ

Have you ever planned to eat Japanese-Italian food and ended up at a HUGE BBQ place on Park Ave? Hmm, I thought I never would also. But I did. We tried hard to go to Basta Pasta (I later made it here – delicious), but could not get in. We settled on Wildwood BBQ, who I’ve passed before and scoffed at the idea of their nachos.

If you haven’t seen this place, you will be surprised by how big it is. Also, they have good beers and in pitchers, too. But we ordered the BBQ nachos.

The platter, obviously very handsome, kept the bottom of the pile nachos warm throughout. These nachos featured pulled pork and Texas chili, cheese sauce, sour cream and pico de gallo.

The chips remained strong. The barbecue sauce worked here, like works at Southern Hospitality. Though it was cheese sauce, the wide range of nearby TVs made it ok for me. These were less messy than most bar nachos I’ve seen, and definitely tasted better.
