You might be surprised who likes nachos, or you might not. Sometimes when you know someone is awesome, you automatically know they probably like nachos, too. Garrett Oliver is awesome. He also likes nachos. Here’s what he told us about his nacho love:

I’ve had the privilege of eating in many of the best restaurants in the world, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love them. But here’s the question. I love foie gras as much as the next guy, but is any food really better than nachos? You see, I’m not sure. If you were to design a food to connect directly with the human brain, wouldn’t nachos be the natural end result? Nachos have fat. They have salt. The salsa has plenty of sugar, acidity and spicy heat. Nachos can have meat, they’ve got starch, they’ve got dairy, and they have vegetables. That’s pretty much every food group except beer. Just add some good IPA on the side, and don’t you now have everything? Nachos even have their own music, a specific kind of crunch that doesn’t sound or feel like other crunches. I’m down with fancy restaurant food, but I think we need to face facts… happiness is a warm nacho. So don’t be hatin’.
