Guac Rock Boat Cruise 2011 – A Reflection

The Second Annual Guac Rock Boat Cruise set sail last night on the East River with 300 dancing, guacamole lovers. The So So Glos, our super secret act, North Highlands and American Darlings provided the entertainment while 9 different guacamoles were doled out. Espolon tequila kept everyone loose and giddy. From what I can remember of the evening it was a grand ol’ time and we can’t be held responsible if anyone got knocked up as a result of the Guac Rock Boat Cruise. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped out this year. Richard Sloven aka Gorilla Guac and Lindsay Liu who prepared guac and our favorite people in the world: Nozomi, Jon, Maraysa, Shawn, Greta and Monique you all made Guac Rock 2011 a great success. Now, let’s jog our memories and look at the photos. For more visual proof that Guac Rock 2011 actually happened, check out Gabi Porter’s photos over at Metromix.

Makin’ guacamole on the boat. You people ate through well over 200 avocados, you beasts.

Brenda from North Highlands! We love North Highlands so much we brought them back another year and kept them our little secret.

From all of us at Nachos NY, thanks for coming out, getting sloppy on a boat and not puking. Much obliged.

We have a lot of crazy stuff coming down the shoot so stay tuned for more Nachos NY events. Salsa Slam is just around the corner and we are always up for nachos and guacamole crawls. But until then, Guac Rock 2011 is in the books!
