Simplest Guacamole

Last night, I was looking through our recipe section and saw all the crazy guacamole recipes we have. And I realized, why am I not giving you guys the simple recipe for guacamole you can make any day of the week. Then I looked at the counter, and to both my luck and yours, two ripe avocados laid.

This recipe will take 10 minutes and your lovers will love you more for it.

2 hass avocados
1/2 red onion
1/2 tomato
1 lime
1 shot tequila

Take 2 avocados, cut vertically and remove the pit. Put them in the bowl and mash with a fork.

Finely dice the red onions.

Also dice the tomatoes and remove the seeds.

Squeeze the limes with all of your might. Even turn them inside out if lime is your thing.

Grab that fork and instead of mashing the ingredients together, fold them over each other so that the guac maintains the chunkiness you’ll love. If you’re feel frisky, take a shot of tequila and pour it on top.

Smile, then chew.

how have i never thought to put tequila in my guac?? genius. my only addition here would be cilantro, which is an absolute necessity. the boyfriend and i have been tinkering with recipes on and off for months now in anticipation of the big event in may… this post serves as a reminder that i must get back into the kitchen with ripe avocados in hand!

PS going to try to make it to the guac crawl. might be on the west coast then, or the day after. fingers crossed!

Sometimes, when I’m feeling planning-aheady, I’ll infuse the tequila with jalapenos, too. That rules.
