Caliente Cab Company

At first glance and I admit first bite, I really enjoyed Caliente’s nachos. They are simple. Just like Ignacio would have wanted. Chip, cheese and jalapeño. Of course we added the chorizo – sorry Ignacio! The presentation was clean and impressive.

After the initial cheesy bite it didnt take long for reality to kick in. The chips did not last long under the coating of cheese. They became flimsy and flavorless. These chos went from a great first impression to meh in 60 seconds.

When we got the rest of our meal we realized the place specialize in frozen Mexican food and were left heartbroken. Our waitress was a sweet heart trying to up-sell us to ceviche but no dice. (Lee: He was trying to up-sell us a lot of things.) The nachos were a manageable 8 bucks bit for the quality of the food Caliente is over priced. So, unless you are hitting the bar and watching Mexican soccer, I advise you stay away.
