Disclaimer: I was given the salsa I am reviewing. That said, there is no bias in this review. If ever, I am invited or given free product I will make sure to note that in a disclaimer much like this.

Last week, when I went to get some salsa to put on our 500 bags of chips, I got something as a take home gift from the boys at Brooklyn Salsa, my favorite salsa company.

The Harvest Salsa from the Brooklyn Salsa Company

The Harvest is the 6th salsa for The Brooklyn Salsa Company, as their previous ones were borough specific, the public was wondering what would come next. Would it be Philadelphia, the 6th borough? NO. This one honors the town of Sleepy Hollow, just 30 miles outside the city.

Harvest Salsa with Chips

With my first chip dips, my face lit up. This salsa is ridiculous. It’s Butternut Squash based, not a tomato in sight, and combined with coconut milk, it has a hearty and sweet opening taste. The second flavor that hits you is spice. And the spice is nice. I told my girlfriend that I was coming home with a new salsa and she lovingly stopped and picked up some tacos at Oaxaca (awesome, too). By the end of the meal and chipstravanganza, we had eaten half a jar with smiles on our faces. I slapped it on a sandwich the next day and made everyone jealous.

That is a chip in the Harvest Salsa

This salsa is ultimate.
