The Ultimate Nacho Infographic
Every time I meet someone who learns I live life for the love of nachos, they think I am joking. They question it’s history and the difference from one nacho to the other. They say, “you mean chips and that orange cheese sauce,” and I slap them. It really ticks me off. To show just how much of a passion project Nachos NY is, I’ve created this infographic to shed light on best practices in making nachos, history of nachos, messiness standards and more.
If you like it, print it out and put on your wall for helpful tips.

this is fantastic. i like that people take mexican food, more specifically nachos, this seriously. rock on.
“The relationship of delicious vs napkins” graph is flawed. Unless napkins implies units of time as well… Oh ok I get it. fine

Can’t beat the traditional South Texas standard, crispy tortilla, refried beans, cheese, jalapenos. And maybe a bit ot taco meat, too.
True story on my Father-in-Law: In 1982 or so, in London for six months and desperate for Tex-Mex, he takes his family to a “Mexican” restaurant. They serve him a baked tortilla covered, quartered, with mozarella cheese and an olive slice.
He returned it, telling them, “That’s not a nacho, it’s a G-D pizza!”. Let this be a lesson for us all.
In Texas, Nachos often have fajita meat or chicken, and in some adventurous cases, shrimp. Beans are acceptable, especially on vegetarian-friendly nachos.
You forgot seasoned ground beef topping!

Great infographic, although I will say that as a current bean addict I am concerned about exclusion of beans on the modern nacho diagram. That is like not having a suitcase full of cocaine on a modern Charlie Sheen party diagram.
