Super Bowl Cho-mmercials

If you woke up on a beer-stained “who dat?” nation floor, then perhaps you missed the really important part of last night’s Super Bowl: the commercials. Nachos were grossly under-represented, but they did offer up a few cameo appearances. Let’s start off with one company who brought the lame hard last night: Bud Light. Auto-tune jokes may be so 2009, but don’t tell this gaggle of frat guys jamming out over some cold ones. Nacho spotting comes in the last 3 seconds, when T-Pain himself asks for some guacamole.

Next up: the best commercial of the evening. Oddly, this wasn’t a spot for beer or chips, but for the Late Show with David Letterman. The plucky host got pals Oprah Winfrey and Jay Leno to sit on a couch with him and munch nacho chips, making jokes about their often tenuous relationships.

And finally, we have our old faithful Taco Bell bringing it hard with blunder king Charles Barkley. There are no nachos involved, but we couldn’t help knocking a quick joke at perhaps the most ridiculous Taco Bell ad to date.

I opted to leave out all four Doritos commercials because they were pretty awful, and seriously, we don’t consider those cheese-dusted triangles to be all that nacho related. Let us know your favorite spots in the comments.

For even more nacho fun
