Heaven Can Wait Music Video Still

New album from progeny of Euro sex-pop’s greatest ambassador/beautiful singer-actress-unafraid-of-Lars-Von-Trier with a track featuring soundtrack-of-my-friggin’ life electronic/spoons virtuoso? Yes please! Toss into that mix a goofy music video of hipsters being hipsters, including that still above, and you’ve got something NachosNY can really behind. Charlotte Gainsbourg’s new album, IRM, drops today, but this duet with Beck, “Heaven Can Wait”, has been around for about two months. Video embedded below. Head to about 00:36 to see the scene featuring two buddies holding a nacho bomb.

Most of this video is incomprehensible, but I think it can be explained away as awesomely contrary shit. Some would float the word like ironic at it, but I’m just gonna say it’s all over the map. The real question is whether or not we should be offended by this nacho inclusion. Are they aiming that warhead straight for the gilded offices of NachosNY!? Or even worse, those guys are gonna drop the jalapeño on Afghanistan, getting hot cheese everywhere and pissing off just about everyone. Unless first they give out some chips, and everyone gets one dip of the blast crater.

Make guac, not war people!! Directed by Keith Schofield, I don’t think there really is all that much to process here. Enjoy!
