Brooklyn Taco Experiment
When we hear something awesome is happening in town, we like to attend. This time, we got to hear about it directly from Nick Suarez of the Food Experiments and former Guactacular combatant this weekend’s Brooklyn Taco Experiment. It’s going to be a lot of fun, here’s how he describes it.
We’re hoping that this event will bring out all the NYC taco fanatics. Already, we’ve received competitors creating tacos of every kind – Pork, beef, duck, chorizo, vegetarian, cheese, chicken skin, fish and hopefully dessert. We’ve gotten a great response so far, so people should buy their tickets in advance if they want to guarantee entrance. It’s also cheaper – $20 Advance, $25 Day of event.
Big news. One of our big prizes is a private tour of the Red Hook Food Vendors with Cesar Fuentes (Executive Director of the Red Hook Vendor’s Committee) once the season opens up again. It also includes free lunch at the vendors with 3 friends and a huge cash prize. It’s a pretty cool prize.
We will also have a secret judge (Vendy Award Winner!).
Finally, this is not set in stone, but Theo is meeting with AeroMexico today. We may have a week vacation to Mexico as the Grand Prize. Fingers Crossed.
Also, Cascabel Taqueria will be serving FREE Churros and Free Hot Chocolate at the after party.
We’ll be on hand with some prizes and afterwards to satisfy all of your Nacho t-shirt needs.
