An Update on the Andersons

I have told you many times how awesome my Mom and Dad are. For those of you who don’t know, my parents are missionaries in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti on behalf of Christian Services International Ministries. They are administrators of a medical clinic that since the earthquake on January 12, has been rendered useless. They are fine, however, the country is not. The orphanage that is part of CSI is not safe and there has been a lot of structural damage to their facility.me mom and dad

Over the holidays, I was fortunate enough to visit my parents. I was amazed at how much the country has changed in the year that had passed since I had last visited. The airport had a new terminal and even air conditioning, there where paved roads to the US Embassy, and there were new building and homes being built in Croix-des-Bouquets.  Now I know streets and building will be unrecognizable and the people I know and care about are displaced, distraught, and missing loved ones. I had planned to share with you my adventures in mango-tree poking and guacamole making,  I just ask that you please some time and whatever money you have to donate to Haiti. Thank you for all of your support during this difficult and frustrating time and please keep the people of Haiti in your thoughts and prayers.
