Recap: El Grito de Dolores Fiesta

17 September 2009 by rachel ,   One Comment

Last night NachosNY threw together a lovely fiesta celebrating El Grito de Dolores and Mexico’s Independence. Held at the our favorite venue, The Bell House, the party was a success thanks to all the participants, sponsors, and of course nacho lovers everywhere who continue to support us in everything that we do.

Congrats go out to Nicolette our big winner of the Grito competition. Belted out with pure heart and independent spirit, Nicolette dedicated her cry to her mother who is from Mexico.

Our event this time around included a raffle for some awesome swag as well. Items given away included a ‘Chos Before Hos T-shirt, a $50 Gift Certificate to Lobo, and a Tecate Cooler. Again congratulations go out to all the winners which in the end really, we were all winners.

Thanks to the Bell House for hosting the event, Lobo for the salsa and gift certificate, Food Should Taste Good for the chips, Spicy Times for the music, Tecate for some free gear, and finally Planned Parenthood NYC for showing up and getting people informed and prepared. Check out MetroMix for the play-by-play of the evening in photo form. It was a great night people. Let’s do it again real soon.
