Cilantro's

Everyone has a birthday and I’m one of those people. On my birthday, I wanted to do a lot of things, most importantly, eat some delicious nachos. I’d heard good things about the nachos and guacamole up in the UES location of Cilantro’s. I arrived there on a smoking hot afternoon with a certain girl I know and she was ready to eat nachos.
When we sat down, I knew I needed a birthday Margarita, a massive burrito, and delightful sounding nachos.
The picture is a little blurry, but you can see whats going on. It’s a heaping plate with a mixture of cheeses, fresh guacamole, jalapenos, some radish and a dollop of sour cream. And you also see me smiling, without my signature glasses. Some people say I look even dashing-er without my glasses, if you can believe that. But less on me and more on the ‘chos. They were hot, the chips were tasty and slightly salty and the flavors came together. The pico de gallo, not part of the nachos, but served on the side was super spicy, beyond my estimations. My favorite part was easily the guacamole, which I’d recommend to anyone looking to get down with some slick avocados.
I know what you were wishing for, a picture with me, smiling over a plate of nachos with candles in it. I failed on that front, but I did get this:
See you at the party!

Congrats on the b-day, nachosny. Those nachos in the pic look like they could be decent or just so-so, since the picture is a bit tough to make out. I do like the mixture of cheeses (something I do with my own) and there are some other good elements like pico de gallo and jalapeno in the mix. I also think that nachos that arrive piping hot can really make the difference.

Those look pretty delicious and since I am a guac fiend and spicy fan, I will definitely have to try them…in fact, I think I have to go right now. I love your blog! Nachos have been my premier food choice for a few years now and since I am new to NY, I need help finding where to chow down on the best of them. Cheers!
