2009 Guactacular Invitational

24 April 2009 by lee   8 Comments

Every so often, humans have a great idea. Spaceships, Toaster ovens, Zach on Saved by the Bell freezing time, those are great ideas. Stemming from Flavorwire editor Caroline Stanley, I got it in my head to put together something great for Cinco De Mayo.

The flyerI’m having a Guacamole contest.

On May 5, at 7pm, the Bell House welcomes Nachos NY friends and family to find the best guacamole around.

Competitors:
Restaurants will be added as they join in.

Judges:
Matt Timms of Chili-Takedown
Lisa Fain of Homesick Texan
Cathy Erway of Not Eating Out in New York
Alexis Loinaz of Metromix
and our very own Rachel Anderson

AND YOU. Beyond the judge’s panel, there will be a popular vote. You choose the People’s Champion.

The great people at Food Should Taste Good have provided us with a lot of great delicious yellow corn tortilla chips.

Almost forgot to tell you. Drink specials: $2 for Tecate and Modelo. $3 for Corona.

Can’t wait to see you.
