As you should know by now, And The Moneynotes were kind enough to shoot the shit with us about all things ‘cho. They were kind enough to play along with our redonkulousness and answered a few questions only Nachos NY could ask. So what does this mean for you, the every day nacho fan who wants their share of the nacho lovin’ spotlight? Well this week we are opening up the questions to you.
CONTEST: Kiddie Pool vs Trough »After a night of hard-working sweat-dripping wiffle ball with the crew from Heeb Magazine, Saucony sent us all to Blondie’s Sports for a healthy, post sport meal. When we sat down, we ordered the finest of beers, Stella (check my infamous comment on EffedinParkSlope about Stella).
Now is the momet you’ve all been waiting for: the prize for this week’s contest. What you guys should be doing is posting comments on all the interview posts with And the Moneynotes. The best contributor wins 2 tickets and backstage passes to (drum roll please) see Adam Freeland DJ’ing with New Order’s Paul Buck on Friday night.
So we know whether you would eat nachos from a trough or kiddie pool and we know what beverage you like to knock back when chompin’ on the ‘chos. Now nacho fanatics, would you rather wrestle in slimy sour cream or chunky guacamole? Let’s listen to the unanimous decision from And The Moneynotes.
It is day 2 of our contest! Today we ask you, what do you like to drink when you are stuffing your face full of ‘chos. Is it, beer? Sangria? An iced quad-grande Americano with whole milk? We wanna know!
In the days to come we will bring you video, pictures, and excellent commentary on the “Shows” part of our ‘Chos and Shows evening that began at Union Pool. And the Moneynoteswere kind enough to chat with us prior to their show. Lee had an intense one-on-one with their nacho connoisseur, Brian. While you wait for that ‘Chos and Shows coverage, let’s recap the post show party which you guessed it, included ‘chos, ‘chos, ‘chos.
Brace yourself. Tonight at Union Pool, we will be keeping it real with an evening of ‘Chos and Shows and we want you to join us. And the Moneynotes has agreed to talk a little bit with us about their love of all things chips and cheese and maybe we’ll talk about the music. They go on at 9pm at Union Pool in Williamsburg.
Nacho pit-stops sometimes happen out of the blue. That’s how we stumbled upon Los Pollitos Restaurant II. Julia and I were wandering around the Slope when Julia said she was hungry and I was like “Whoa yea, I’m hungry too.” When you write for a nachos website and you’re hungry it’s great when you’re friend suggest you eat nachos, that way you don’t feel like you are imposing your nachos-are-the-epitome-of-awesomeness world view on others. And with that, we brunched.
On a whimsically quiet day at work, I told Rachel that we should meet at our local spot, Franklin Park for a happy hour brew. When I got there a hunger came over me so I reached for the takeout menus for Taqueria de los Muertos. When I called them, I got to customize. I ordered some cheddar, black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream.
So I was reminded that today was Father’s Day. Since, I forgot to send out a card, I would like to take some time to say thank you to my Father, Bert Anderson. Now, my Dad is pretty cool. The man built me an outdoor ice skating rink, let my brother and I ride on a sled tied to the tractor, and he also let us watch King Kong when we were grounded from television and our mother wasn’t home. To top it all off, my Father has sacrificed eating nachos to help others.
